Chase Cars Speed Down The Runway Over 100 MPH To Help U-2 Pilots Land

When you're flying a plane as difficult to land as the U-2, you can always use a little help. In this case, that help comes from a chase car. U-2 pilots wear space suits that restrict their peripheral vision. And when you combine that with an already difficult to land aircraft, the altitude callouts they get from chase cars help them touch down safely.
