Vote: Should Student Pilots Still Learn NDB Navigation?

Josep Tomas

With technology growing at such a rapid pace in the cockpit, NDB navigation is slowing becoming a thing of the past. The FAA seems to agree, at least to a point. Over the past 10 years, hundreds of NDB approach procedures have been decommissioned. And NDBs themselves are starting to be shut down, but not in the same numbers as the instrument approaches they serve.

So that brings up the question: should student pilots spend time learning NDB navigation? Vote, then tell us your thoughts in the comments!
