The Next Time You Fly, Don't Make This Mistake

The next time you fly, make sure this isn't you.

One of the biggest problems at airports isn't in the air, it's runway incursions on the ground. Things can get busy when you're taxiing, and if you're not familiar with an airport, your workload can be high. So the next time you pull up to a runway, unless you're absolutely sure you're cleared to cross, ask ATC.

And even when you are cleared to cross a runway, always check both ends as you approach the runway. Asking ground control to verify if you're cleared to cross, and keeping an eye out for landing traffic is a lot easier (and safer) than having a runway incursion like this.
