Pilot Crash Lands On A Neighborhood Road

The pilot of this glider made an emergency landing on a neighborhood road. With no engine, glider pilots are tasked with keeping enough altitude to land safely, so it's possible that this pilot had to divert when he couldn't reach his landing spot. This is what happened when the right wing clipped a mailbox:

We don't have any details on why the pilot was forced to make an emergency landing. With the large wings of a glider, hitting something was almost inevitable, so landing on a road couldn't have ended much better.
