5 Ways To Make Your Flying Exciting Again

We've all been stuck there...the aviation rut. It's time to shake things up...

1) Plan A Weekend Trip

There are few things better than getting out for a weekend trip in your plane. Get out of your local area and fly somewhere new. It's a great way to break up your routine.

2) Take Someone For Their First Flight

There's nothing better than the smile from someone enjoying their first flight. Let them take the controls for some turns and tell them they've joined a very small club of people in the world who have flown a plane.

3) Spend Time At Your Airport

You don't have to be airborne to have fun. Throw a weekend barbecue at a hangar, and invite some friends.

4) Fly Something New

There's probably someone you know out at the airport who has a plane you've never flown before. Pilots with unique airplanes love giving rides, so make that connection happen. And even better, try flying in a new way, like getting aerobatic instruction.

5) Add A Rating

It's probably been awhile since you were training for something. Having a goal, like a new rating, is a great way to get motivated to fly more. It doesn't matter what it is. It could be multi-engine, glider, instrument, seaplane, etc. There are a lot of unique training opportunities out there.
