    Last Production C-17 Departs Long Beach Airport

    Just a few minutes ago, the last production C-17 Globemaster took off from the Boeing Long Beach plant.

    279 C-17s were produced at the Long Beach plant, and while they're no longer being built, they will continue hauling troops and cargo (up to 80 tons at a time) for decades to come.
