The 5 Best Holiday Ideas For Pilots

Boldmethod

Christmas is just around the corner, so here are some of the best things you can do as a pilot during the holidays.

1) Throw A Hangar Party

Before everyone heads out on holiday travel, get together at the hangar for a Christmas party.

2) Search For Snow

If you have access to an airplane - Use it! Nothing feels more "Christmas" than being surrounded by snow, so plan a flight up North to a snowy destination with friends or family.

3) Begin Setting New Year Goals

Have a rating or certificate you want to get in the new year? There's no better time than now to start planning out how you can make it happen!

4) Working On Christmas? Bring Small Gifts!

If you're one of the thousands of pilots working on Christmas Day, bring some small gifts to the crew, gate agents, ground handlers, FBO staff, or passengers.

5) Give The Gift Of Flight

Know someone who loves to fly, wants to learn, or hasn't ever been in a plane before? Give them the gift of flight by taking them up for an hour or two. That unremarkable card you'll have waiting for them under the Christmas tree will be a huge surprise!

What are some other great things to do around the holidays? Tell us in the comments below.
